•What is a chapter?
A chapter of The Big Brother Project is a local, student-led hub that extends our mission into more communities through mentorship, service, and leadership development.
Our chapters are designed to operate primarily out of college campuses and are led by trained student leaders who are committed to guiding the next generation of young men.
•Where are chapters based?
We begin our chapter model on college campuses because they provide a unique opportunity: young men who are close enough in age to be relatable, yet far enough along to lead, serve, and mentor with purpose.
•What do chapters do?
1. Develop the mentors themselves — building brotherhood, accountability, and leadership among volunteers.
2. Serve the community — partnering with local schools to provide structured mentorship and support to boys in elementary, middle, and high schools.
•How do school partnerships work?
Chapters do not operate independently within schools. All mentorship efforts are coordinated in partnership with school administrators to ensure safety, structure, and effectiveness.
The form of support — whether group mentorship, after-school programs, or other models — is determined collaboratively with each school.
•Why the Chapter model matters.
The chapter model allows The Big Brother Project to grow responsibly, maintain consistency, and build long-term impact — not just one-time programs.
By empowering student leaders while maintaining centralized standards and oversight, we are able to serve more boys without compromising quality or care.
